CHAIR of JUDGES
Marcus Jamieson-Pond is a freelance photographer.
In his earlier career, he spent many years working in law firms both in Human Resources and Corporate Social Responsibility roles.
As part of his CSR work, Marcus worked to raise the issue of the impact that business has on the environment and often spoke on the subject.
In recent years, he has followed his other passion - for capturing digitally the world around him and acts as a Creative Director to the First 100 Years project, that celebrates women in law. He also works as a freelance through his own business www.jampondphotography.com
"I'm really pleased to have been asked to judge the Obelisk photo competition. Our environment is the only one we have and anything we can do to raise awareness of the need to preserve it has to be applauded".

Oliver Tanqueray, Client Earth
Oliver is the Sustainable Seafood Coalition Coordinator at ClientEarth. He works with UK businesses to secure responsible seafood supply chains and a healthy marine environment.
His earlier career with a variety of food manufacturers - all of which are facing climate-related supply challenges - alerted him to the close, and precarious relationship between food security and climate stability.
"Too often, the issues of climate change are seen as abstract and theoretical. It's a pleasure to be judging a competition which brings these issues to life in vibrant, visual form. The marine environment is especially 'out-of-sight' for most of us, so photography has an important role to play in inspiring positive change.”
